In 2007/08 BullBearings Financial Trading Software created a stock market game for budding Irish university traders.

Contestants were given £100,000 of virtual cash to invest in the stock market and were challenged to make the most money by trading real stocks in real time.

The competition was sponsored by Bank of Ireland and Ulster Bank Group with €4,000 worth of prizes.

After its successful conclusion, the Traders Cup stock market game is now closed. However, the main BullBearings stock game remains open and plans are afoot to re-start the Cup in 2012/2013.
